For some of our members, this workout would have been their first CrossFit Open experience. Putting your name forward and committing to participating in all 5 weeks of the Open, committing to giving it your all each week, in front of your gym buddies, friends, and even families, can be intimidating. However, as every Open veteran would attest, the experience is worth the doubt and the jitters. The experience of competing in any setting, even just against yourself in the Open, cannot quite be matched in our everyday WODs. The personal insights and triumphs you gain from putting yourself out there cannot be understated.
To those who kicked off their CrossFit Open experience with 18.1 – go crush that old score. And if you haven’t done this workout before, set yourself a goal and see what happens. The Open is for our entire community.
